
The WTO's participation will bring the number of CIFIT co-sponsors to six. The other five co-sponsors are the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA).
It is a big achievement following a delegation visit in March to the WTO led by Ni Yuefeng, secretary general of the CIFIT organizing committee and vice-governor of Fujian province, and Zhang Canmin, director of the CIFIT’s conference affairs department and vice-mayor of Xiamen.
