On February 21, 2019 the Energy Storage Standards, Conformance and Technology Workshop will take place at the Hilton Sandton in Johannesburg, South Africa.
This one-day workshop will focus on standards–related aspects of energy storage to facilitate greater proliferation of safe energy storage technologies into the South African and broader African markets. Together we will address and discuss common approaches to standardization and conformity assessment, technical innovations and developments, updates on Eskom's Battery Storage Program, and foster discussions on crosscutting issues and opportunities for U.S – South Africa cooperation.
The workshop is sponsored by the United States Trade and Development Agency's U.S.-Africa Clean Energy Standards Program (CESP) in partnership with Power Africa and is coordinated by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). This workshop is being held in collaboration with Eskom and in coordination with the Africa Energy Indaba.
