Carbon Footprint Analyst - 8 to 10 May 2018
The only internationally accredited carbon footprinting course in Africa! This course teaches learners how to conduct a carbon footprint assessment in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and ISO 14064. Key areas include: Understanding the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, data gathering tools, setting boundaries, data assessment, data quality control, importance of verification and creating a report. This course is accredited internationally with IEMA, and nationally with LG SETA.
Environmental Strategy - 15 - 16 May 2018
This course will allow you to create a complete environmental strategy for an organisation, or municipal communities. Environmental strategies are a great way for companies to compete and become more sustainable, allowing them to reduce costs by operating more efficiently. This 2 day course covers all phases to introduce, develop and implement such a strategy, and will go into detail about all the tools required.
Energy Management Fundamentals - 21 -22 May 2018
A basic 2 day energy management course, recommended for those who have little to no background or experience of energy, and wish to enter into energy management.
Energy Efficiency Management - 23 - 25 May 2018
The 3 day EW SETA accredited course focuses on teaching learners how to systematically assess problematic energy areas within a small to medium business environment and to recommend appropriate solutions (technology & behaviour). Learners will be able to conduct financial assessments of each solution recommended and will get a strong understanding of how to assess solutions that maximise the customer’s return on investment. Qualifying members will also earn 3 CPD points through SAIEE, or 15 CPD points through SAFMA
Solar PV Feasibility Assessment - 28 - 30 May 2018
This 3 day course will show you how to conduct a feasibility study for residential and commercial solar PV solutions, including how to get initial costing and energy yields using modelling software and climate data. Qualifying members will receive 3 CPD credits from SAIEE.
Solar PV Installation - 31 May - 1 June 2018
The Solar PV Installation course will cover all aspects of installing Solar PV, including Health and Safety, construction and installation of all Solar PV Components, and commissioning. This 2 day course will also cover all typical tests that need to be conducted when commissioning a solar PV plant and which documents need to be included when handing over a functioning plant.
Our facilitators on all courses are senior engineers and sustainability experts in the fields of energy and water efficiency, renewable energy, energy monitoring, carbon management, carbon projects and environmental policy and strategy development. They work daily on major projects in this field for medium to JSE listed companies in southern Africa
