Submit your business plan and present to investors at Viridis Africa

On the 15th & 16th October 2013 the third Clean Technology business and investment matchmaking conference for the African continent is to be held at the Killarney Country Club, Lower Houghton, Johannesburg South Africa.

Called Viridis Africa, (www.viridisafrica.com) the event is dedicated to entrepreneurs and corporates who are seeking funding to introduce clean technology solutions and services.

Cleantech investors who are participating this year include Christopher Clark from Inspired Evolution Investment Management, Gregor Paterson-Jones from Sterling Waterford Securities , Mark Immerman from Lereko Metier Sustainable Capital and Rentia van Tonder from the Industrial Development Corporation. Other investors include John Sherratt from Curatio Capital, Ridhaa Ahmed from Vantage Capital and Tsakani Mthombeni, from the Technology Innovation Agency.

Business case participants include Chris Harburn from Turnstone Trading presenting a solar project, as is Hendrix Roux from Solar Power.

Projects from elsewhere in Africa will also be presented including a waste management project from Zimbabwe by Kudzai Shonhai of Mtarazi Trading.

A unique project on capturing and Utilize CO2 for cultivating Algae to be processed and utilized in manufacturing a number of low carbon or alternative products including; Biofuels (biodiesel, bio-kerosene “aviation fuel” and bioethanol) animal feed protein supplement, enzymes and fatty acids for the pharmaceutical, nutritional and cosmetics industries and Bioplastics will be presented by David Mjumira, of MP Energy.

More project owners are invited to present at Viridis Africa. Principals who would present their business opportunities at this event would have the audience of numerous local and foreign investors, stratified according to their interest and investment criteria.

The following are some of the clean tech sub-sectors in which principals may consider their company, initiative being presented:
Clean Energy Generation: Wind, solar, hydro, biofuels, geothermal, clean coal technologies
Storage: Fuel cells, advanced batteries, hybrid systems
Infrastructure: Management, transmission
Efficiency: Building efficiency, smart grids, waste heat recovery
Water & waste water: Water treatment, water conservation, waste water treatment, desalination
Recycling & waste: Recycling, waste treatment, organic matter, plastics,

Please note that the deadline for your business proposal submission is 20 September 2013.

An executive business summary of your project/ company is required in order for us to match your initiative/company business proposal with the appropriate theme and investors.

Importantly you need to indicate the funds you seek and the principal terms for investors participation.
