
Called Viridis Africa, (www.viridisafrica.com) the event is dedicated to entrepreneurs and corporates who are seeking funding to introduce clean technology solutions and services.
Cleantech investors who are participating this year include Christopher Clark from Inspired Evolution Investment Management, Gregor Paterson-Jones from Sterling Waterford Securities , Mark Immerman from Lereko Metier Sustainable Capital and Rentia van Tonder from the Industrial Development Corporation. Other investors include John Sherratt from Curatio Capital, Ridhaa Ahmed from Vantage Capital and Tsakani Mthombeni, from the Technology Innovation Agency.
Business case participants include Chris Harburn from Turnstone Trading presenting a solar project, as is Hendrix Roux from Solar Power.
Projects from elsewhere in Africa will also be presented including a waste management project from Zimbabwe by Kudzai Shonhai of Mtarazi Trading.
A unique project on capturing and Utilize CO2 for cultivating Algae to be processed and utilized in manufacturing a number of low carbon or alternative products including; Biofuels (biodiesel, bio-kerosene “aviation fuel” and bioethanol) animal feed protein supplement, enzymes and fatty acids for the pharmaceutical, nutritional and cosmetics industries and Bioplastics will be presented by David Mjumira, of MP Energy.
More project owners are invited to present at Viridis Africa. Principals who would present their business opportunities at this event would have the audience of numerous local and foreign investors, stratified according to their interest and investment criteria.
