My name is Rebecca Maria Besser and I am from Germany. Currently I am studying an English master degree in Renewable Energy Management with focus on the tropics and subtropics. In my 4th semester, starting in March 2016, I have to write my master thesis.
I would love to do the research for my thesis in South Africa, as it seems to me to be an amazing and very interesting country and it has always been my dream to live there for a while.
During my research about renewable energies in South Africa, I came across your association. As you combine such a lot of interesting companies involved in the renewable energy sector, I kindly wanted to ask you, if you know if some of your members offer the possibility to write a master thesis with them?
My last internship as well as my bachelor thesis were based on (off-grid) photovoltaic in Africa. Additionally I have always been keen on mini-grids connecting several kinds of energy, solar desalination as well as on hybrid systems of wind and solar. However, I am also interested in other types of on-grid and off-grid renewable energies on different scales.
Since I do not have a specific topic for my thesis yet, I would be open for suggestions.
