We are a network of South Africans calling for divestment from fossil fuels to stop the threat of climate change and secure our human rights and collective future. Our campaign began in November 2013 with a call to UCT for divestment.
The launch event for the UCT fossil fuel divestment campaign will be on 30 July 2014, from 5.30-7pm, in Leslie Social Sciences 1A. Speakers will include Jolynn Minnaar, director of the award-winning tracking documentary, Unearthed, and associate professor Richard Calland of the UCT Law Faculty.
For the hungry, a light supper will be provided.
