In March of this year, President Xi Jinping paid his initial visit to South Africa, further deepening China’s cooperation between BRICS countries and Africa.
In order to fully demonstrate the CIFIT’s national economic diplomacy platform, this year’s CIFIT will issue a batch of South Africa host country activities. The plan has received a warm response from relevant government departments in South Africa.
According to the South Africa government trade and industry department, South Africa will hold a series of investment promotion activities to thoroughly present the glamour of the Rainbow Nation.
To show South Africa’s charm, they will set up a South African National Pavilion, which will mainly display the county’s top 10 products exported to China. They will also hold an invest-in South Africa seminar and invest-in South Africa special matchmaking symposium, introducing its investment environment, investment policies and key cooperative projects. They will also hold a South African Food Festival to display the country’s unique food culture.
“We will fully make use of the CIFIT platform and comprehensively demonstrate Sino-Africa’s bilateral economic and trade exchange since our 15th anniversary,”said Thabo Thage, minister at the South Africa embassy in Beijing and acting consul general in Shanghai.
It is estimated that 50-60 South African enterprises will participate in the grand exhibition. The floor area will reach thousands of square meters.
SAAEA invites local role players to submit presentations/products to feature at our pavilion at this forum.
Networking at the event will include proposals for joint ventures in local manufacturing, product development and funding within our industry.
South African department of trade and industry (DTI) will sponsor freight costs of samples to and from China.
