South African companies/researchers that would like to meet and source collaborative projects with Spanish counterparts are invited to take part in this important initiative.
Info....
The Technology Innovation agency (TIA) has a standing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a sister agency in Spain, called the Centre for Industrial Technology Development (CDTI). This relationship resulted in the establishment, in both TIA and CDTI, the South Africa and Spain Innovating program, SASI in short. The SASI program facilitates collaborative technology development initiatives between South Africa and Spanish entities that wish to develop joint technologies. In this regard, TIA and CDTI would co-fund projects on a non-exchange of funds bases in the respective countries.
In the spirit of the agreement CDTI will send a cohort of companies to TIA for a match making mission on the 15th - 17th October 2013. The visit coincides with the formal launch of the SASI program to potential TIA and South African technology innovative clientele on the 16th October 2013.
Given the background herein TIA requests your support by availing a representative from your member companies. Spanish companies visiting have an interest in energy (renewable) and infrastructure technologies (transport, water, and agriculture).
The expected outcomes of the match making is to have potential collaborative projects that may be supported by TIA or enhance the functionality existing technologies in your company.
Interested companies must RSVP by 6 October 2013 (Friday) to admin@saaea.org or call on 071 637 8466 for more details.
