The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) and Trade and Investment KwaZulu-Natal (TIKZN) invite interested parties to participate in an Outward Selling Mission (OSM) to Kuwait City, Kuwait, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 23 to 30 November 2013. The objective of the OSM is to create market penetration for South African value-added products and services into the Middle East and promote KwaZulu-Natal as a trade and investment destination. Planned activities include business-tobusiness meetings and site visits to companies in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
Targeted sectors include Agro-processing; Chemicals and Allied Industries; Capital
Equipment and Allied Industry; Energy; Manufacturing; Metals; Automotives; and
Chemicals.
Dates:
Kuwait City, Kuwait 23–26 November 2013
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia 27–30 November 2013
The deadline for submission of completed EMIA OSM application forms is 30
September 2013.
Assistance is provided to qualifying KwaZulu-Natal exporters to introduce South
African products into foreign markets in a cost-effective manner. TIKZN, with the
assistance of the dti, will offer the following financial support to qualifying firms:
Freight-forwarding of product samples;
Economy-class return airfare to a maximum of R13 000;
Daily subsistence allowance of R2 000 per day; and
Business-to-business meetings for participants.

This OSM will facilitate networking with key stakeholders and high-level decisionmakers
in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia; provide an opportunity to meet decision-makers
face-to-face and present your business in a one-on-one environment; introduce your
