First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR) commences construction of Australia’s largest utility-scale solar project, a 250 hectare solar plant in Nyngan, New South Wales (NSW). Less than six months after AGL Energy Limited achieved financial close for project, First Solar  breaks ground on the installation of approximately 1,350,000 advanced thin-film photovoltaic (PV) modules. Once installed, First Solar’s modules will generate clean, renewable energy with no emissions, waste or water consumption during operation. First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR) stock hit highest price at $50.12, beginning with a price of $48.33 and increased 0.35% to the close at $48.84 with day range of $47.75 – $50.12. The total market capitalization of First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR) is $4.77 billion; total average volume held in the session was 3.89 million shares.

Yingli Green Energy Hold. Co. Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE:YGE), the largest solar-panel maker, agreed to supply 2 megawatts of modules for residential power projects in Malaysia. The panels will be delivered to Maqo Technologies (M) Sdn. throughout 2014, Baoding, China-based Yingli said in a statement. Terms weren’t disclosed. Yingli Green Energy Hold. Co. Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE:YGE)’s stock traded at beginning with a price of $5.70 and throughout the trading session climbed at a high of $6.25 and later when day-trade ended the stock finally rose 3.24% to end at $6.05. Stock of Yingli Green Energy Hold. Co. Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE:YGE) showed weekly performance of -12.32%.

JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (ADR) (NASDAQ:JASO), recently announced that they have formed a Joint Venture to establish a solar module manufacturing facility in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (ADR) (NASDAQ:JASO) yesterday closed at $8.75. Stock institutional ownership is 30.20% as compared to its average volume of 18.07% million shares. In its share capital JASO has 7.74 billion outstanding shares among them 6.30 billion shares have been floated in market.

LDK Solar Co., Ltd (ADR) (NYSE:LDK) announced that it has entered into a new 21-day forbearance arrangement with holders of a majority in aggregate principal amount of its US$-Settled 10% Senior Notes due 2014 (the “Notes”). The new forbearance arrangement, which expires on February 13, 2014, relates to the interest payment due under the Notes on August 28, 2013. That interest payment is still unpaid. It is LDK Solar Co., Ltd (ADR) (NYSE:LDK)’s intention to find a consensual solution to its obligations under the Notes as soon as possible and LDK Solar remains hopeful that it will be able to achieve that goal. LDK Solar Co., Ltd (ADR) (NYSE:LDK)’s stock in last trading day held average volume of 1.31 million shares. Shares after opening at $1.12 attained maximum price of $1.13 and then ended up on $1,.08 by decreasing -3.57%.

SolarCity Corp. (NASDAQ:SCTY) was downgraded by stock analysts at JPMorgan Chase & Co. from an “overweight” rating to a “neutral” rating in a report issued on Tuesday, TheFlyOnTheWall.com reports. The analysts noted that the move was a valuation call. SolarCity Corp (NASDAQ:SCTY)’s stock on Jan 28, 2014 reported a decrease of -0.77% to the closing price of $69,94. Its fifty two weeks range was $14.15 – $79.86. The total market capitalization recorded $5.81 million. The overall average volume in the last trading session was 4.41 million shares. In its share capital, SolarCity Corp. (NASDAQ:SCTY) has 83.13 million outstanding shares.

ReneSola Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE:SOL) announced an agreement to provide Isolux Corsan with 57 megawatts of Virtus PV modules for installation in three commercial PV projects in the United Kingdom. According to the terms of the agreement, ReneSola will deliver 57 MW of Virtus PV modules with an average power output of 250 W. The modules will be installed at projects in Cornwall, Dorset, and Norfolk in the United Kingdom. ReneSola Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE:SOL) began delivery in December 2013 and the three projects are expected to connect to the grid in March of this year. ReneSola Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE:SOL)’s stock in last trading day held average volume of 3.57 million shares. Shares after opening at $3.29 attained maximum price of $3.52 and then ended up on $3.25 by decreasing -4.13%.
