MANAGER (RENEWABLE ENERGY)
Job Purpose:
To design and implement a strategic approach to Renewable Engergy Management in eThekwini
Municipality
Key Responsibility Areas:
Draft and implement an Internal Renewable Energy policy for the Municipality.
Supervision and control of staff.
Ensures accurate administration and record keeping for Renewable Energy (RE) projects.
Conceptualise and initiate financial incentives for Renewable Energy in the city.
Develop and implement Renewable Energy by-laws.
Improving local grid policies and processes.
Designs and implements Renewable Energy installation on government infrastructure
Assist departments to develop business plans for the identified energy interventions.
Investigate funding sources for interventions.
Essential Requirements:
Relevant 3 year tertiary qualification, i.e. Diploma or Degree, e.g. in Engineering, Physics,
Environmental Management or Energy related fields.
4 Years relevant experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Relevant post graduate qualification in Renewable Energy related field.
6 Years relevant experience.
